Pool Family: Hosting a Pool Party
If it's your turn to host the next family gathering or children's birthday party, then there's nothing like hosting a swimming pool party to break the ice, keep guests cool and keep your budget in line.
By their very nature, pool parties are likely informal and fun occasions-ones where swimsuits, flip-flops and casual attire become the rule of the day. As a host, that means a pool party makes for an easy way to break the ice-as every guest approaches a swimming pool invitation knowing that where there's a swimming pool, there's fun. And splashing. And sun.
Even if guests aren't swimmers, their summer attire is far likely more comfortable in hot or humid weather. And if they are swimmers, then there's nothing like a refreshing dip in the pool to take the hot edge off of a summer day. And by avoiding the hassle (and expense) of a formal restaurant or gathering place, multiple sets of directions and having to set a time to LEAVE the party, there's no telling what kind of fun (and savings) awaits you as a pool party host.
